LithoSense is moving closer to a 1.0 version.
The program is developed to distinguish patterns in geodata aimed at optical mineralogy through machine learning. The purpose is to assist geologists to make decisions in mineral identification.
Change-log for February 2025:
-Improvements on the custom built neural network specifically aimed to better understand spatial relationships in minerals.
-Expanded dataset with hundreds of new PPL images of thin sections.
-Reworked how data processing works to balance performance and accuracy to a more suitable level.
-Added statistics for data analysis.
-Confidence levels have been increased from prior versions. The threshold for uncertainty has been raised as a result of this.
-Minor bug fixes.

Core logging software version 2.0.1 Released
New core logging software that allows any drill hole to be imported and reviewed without need of adaptation. This is possible through mapping unique feature IDs to randomized color codes.
- Added statistics for easier overview of the drillhole.
- Implementation of safeguard loops and control functions to manage inconsistencies in user input.
- Added basic support for .shp files to display geospatial information.
- Reworked how data is being read by the program by assigning dynamic variables. (iloc)
- Reworked how data is being visualized, the program now works “out of the box” without any need for adaptation.
- Debugging and improved performance.
- Improvements made on the graphical user interface.
